this is a really good analysis of the topic at hand but i also love how you had me laughing at so many parts throughout. the molly mae description. the mandatory sjp picture. i’m in awe of how you blend facts with humour

the entire time i was reading this essay i was thinking THANK YOU for saying the quiet part. i'm just as complicit as everyone else i cringe at and once i accepted that uncomfortable truth, it was liberating.

Got on here with very specific aims to further my writing 'career' and get my (ego-driven) novel out there, now wrapped up in who hasn't and has liked my posts instead... Also wondering how I can shoehorn a Carrie B image into my next column about Spurs fans.

And just like that I realised… Spurs are getting relegated !!!

I think they are just realising it themselves. Did Carrie Bradshaw sack off the ideal passionate, plain-speaking, attack-minded man and replace him with a technocrat? Asking for a friend.

Lol @ Mandatory picture of Carrie Bradshaw at work in an effort to optimise this post for the Substack algorithm.

As a visual artist posting here on Substack - I do not consider myself a writer by any means - I do appreciate being able to express what’s going on in my work where it will be more likely to be read than on other socials!

“Professional clowns are also artists, but I don’t see them going around with the same delusions of grandeur as the Substack community” ha, clearly you haven’t spent enough time with the circus arts community! I don’t think there’s an art form out there that doesn’t harbor delusions of grandeur. It’s kind of part of the game. Writers just… go on about it more, due to their skillset. I mean, it’s hard to make art if some part of you doesn’t believe that it’s Very Important.
